National Inclusion Week 2026: Shaping Inclusion Together

Team
14 Sep 26

This week, we’re taking part in National Inclusion Week®.

Inclusion is woven into the fabric of our business, shaping our culture, our relationships and the way we work together every day. That’s why the 2026 theme, ‘Build Trust. Navigate Change.’, resonates strongly with us as we continue to build a culture where everyone feels they belong and can succeed.

At Gore Street Capital, we know that building an inclusive workplace requires more than good intentions. It requires listening, learning and taking meaningful action. National Inclusion Week provides an opportunity to reflect on where we are today, celebrate the progress we’ve made and consider the steps we can take to continue creating a culture where everyone feels valued, respected and supported to succeed.

Inclusion at Gore Street Capital

Understanding who we are as a business is an important part of building a more inclusive future. As part of National Inclusion Week, we’re taking the opportunity to reflect on the diversity of our workforce and celebrate the progress we’ve made so far. An inclusive culture helps us attract and retain talent, encourages diverse perspectives in decision-making and strengthens our ability to support investors, partners and stakeholders effectively. The information below provides a snapshot of some of the steps Gore Street Capital has implemented to ensure it continues to attract and retain talent:

  • Enhanced family-friendly policies, including maternity, paternity and adoption leave and pay, alongside support for colleagues through our IVF policy.
  • A Visa Sponsorship Programme that has helped us build a diverse workforce, with 17 nationalities represented across Gore Street Capital.
  • A broad range of wellbeing support, including an exercise fund, private medical insurance, an Employee Assistance Programme and qualified Mental Health First Aiders.
  • Ongoing investment in attracting, developing and retaining female talent through mentoring opportunities, partnerships and initiatives that support greater equality and representation.

Introducing Our Diversity & Inclusion Engagement Group

One of the most important ways we can build an inclusive culture is by ensuring our people have a voice in shaping it.

As part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, we’re establishing a Diversity & Inclusion Engagement Group, bringing together colleagues from across the business to help shape our approach to diversity and inclusion.

The group will provide a forum for sharing ideas, discussing opportunities and ensuring our approach reflects the experiences and needs of our people. By working together, we can help create meaningful, lasting change that works for Gore Street Capital and everyone who works here.

A Message from Peter Summerfield, Head of People, Gore Street Capital

“National Inclusion Week gives us an opportunity to pause, reflect and recognise the role inclusion plays in our culture. It’s something we’re committed to not just during one week of the year, but every day.

The launch of our Diversity & Inclusion Engagement Group is an exciting next step. By bringing together voices from across the business, we’ll be able to learn from one another, challenge ourselves and ensure inclusion remains a key part of how we grow as an organisation.”

Looking Ahead

National Inclusion Week is an important opportunity to celebrate inclusion, but creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong is something that happens throughout the year.

As we continue to develop our approach to diversity and inclusion, we’re excited to see how our new Diversity & Inclusion Engagement Group helps shape our plans, challenge our thinking and bring new perspectives to the conversation. By listening to colleagues from across the business, we can continue developing an approach that reflects our culture, supports our teams and drives lasting change.

We’ll continue to share updates on our journey throughout the year and look forward to seeing how the engagement group helps shape the future of diversity and inclusion at Gore Street Capital.
